Deep Sea Fishing

Our main boat, Making It Reel, is 45’ long and sleeps six people comfortably. Full kitchen and two heads. You are able to come in and out of the sun to a nice air conditioned living space. This boat can accommodate up to 20 people for the day trips, but would recommend only 6-8 people for overnight excursions.
The type of fish we fish for will depend on the time of year and the Caribbean currents. There are also different fishing methods we use. We can do fast trolling for the fast wahoo and mahi mahi, drifting for sailfish and bottom fishing for large grouper and snapper. Our fishing guides are natives and you will truly appreciate their knowledge of the waters.

Ambergris Caye

Located about 36 miles east of Belize City, it’s a 15 minute flight or a 1 hour boat ride from there.
Ambergris Caye is about 27 miles long and sits on the southernmost tip of the Yucatan peninsula.
It’s one of the most exciting fishing destinations in Belize. San Pedro is the main town on Ambergris Caye and since its early days, it has been the home of great fishermen. The coral reef is just ½ mile off the beach. Here you find great gamefish like permit, tarpon large grouper, snapper and jacks. In the shallow water grasses closer to the beach you will find bonefish. One the southern tip in the mangroves you will find giant tarpon, bonefish and snook. Outside the reef is where you find the exciting gamefish which include wahoo, marlin, sailfish and mahi mahi.
